Cristiano Ronaldo pays £150,000 for personalised number plate
Cristiano Ronaldo can afford to treat himself to a few luxuries.
The 23-year-old Premier League star has just gathered together a bit of loose change and bought the car registration number plate CR7 for a bargain £150,000.
It's to go on his silver Bentley convertible - or perhaps he'll decide to swop it to the £340,000 black Phantom Rolls Royce that he currently has on order.
'Cristiano is developing an obsession with CR7,' a source tells The Sun. 'He has been after the number plate for ages and finally got his hands on it.'

Ronaldo recovery on course
Ferguson revealed that in three weeks Ronaldo will start building up his fitness before rejoining the rest of the squad in training.
He said: "Cristiano has been doing excellently. He is well ahead of schedule. The specialist was surprised the condition he was in.
"The next three weeks he will have rehab and then the next part will be endurance work and serious running before he goes into the football side with us.
"There has been no problem, his progress has been great. He has never missed a session morning or afternoon. We are pencilling him in for the beginning of October."
And the Scot believes that the prodigiously gifted youngster can improve on his mesmeric displays of last season.
He added: "At the start of last season I was asked if Ronaldo could score more than 25 goals and I replied I was looking for improvement.
"Improvement can come in different ways for Ronaldo this season. 42 goals is a target - it is still possible for him to achieve that given the talent of the boy and his goalscoring ability. But you have to say it is a big target.
"Where you will see the improvement is in his authority and decision-making, which improves with experience. Experience gives you a lot of things - timing especially."

49% of fans blame Ronaldo, 28% blame the Press
Last week Soccerlens asked readers who they blamed for the torturous summer-long United-Ronaldo-Madrid saga. The results are detailed below:
Out of a poll of 636 readers, 49% (309 readers) laid the responsibility at Cristiano Ronaldo’s feet, with his refusal to ‘clarify his position’ (or rather, his desire to move and initial refusal to accept United’s position) highlighted as the primary cause for making the whole thing last 2 months.
28% (176 readers) said that the incessant media speculation was the reason for the distress (Ronaldo spoke twice in 2 months before last week’s announcement, yet the saga was front page news almost every single day).
Only 11% (73 readers) said that fans had unrealistic expectations and were easily manipulated by the press.
