Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to quit while he is ahead after winning £400 in wagers with Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
In a bid to deny Ronaldo a hat-trick of successful bets, Ferguson has set him a massive 35-goal target for the coming campaign.
The United boss said: "I won't be having a bet with Ronaldo this season because he has refused my offer.
The 22-year-old Portugal winger has easily eclipsed the 15 and 20 goal totals set by Ferguson during the past two seasons.
But the Footballer of the Year has not accepted the 65-year-old Scot's latest challenge.
